Aristos Logic Secures $12 Million
In Funding
Pioneer Of RAID Storage Processor Technology
Will Use Funds For Ramping Production, Marketing And Next Generation
Product Development
Foothill Ranch, California - September 23, 2004
- Aristos Logic, the industry leader in RAID Storage Processor (RSPTM)
technology, announced today that it has completed a $12 million
dollar Series-D funding round, bringing the total funding to $65
million. Existing investors JP Morgan Partners, TPG Ventures, Woodside
Fund and QTV Capital led the current round of funding. The increased
valuation for this round reflects the company's outstanding product
and customer traction.
Aristos Logic will use these funds towards ramping its first generation
silicon and software products based on RAID Storage Processor technology
into volume production and launching the second-generation products.
The company will also use the proceeds to develop its third generation
products and to expand its international sales and marketing programs.
"We are pleased with Aristos Logic's progress and believe
that the company is well positioned to capitalize on the industry's
transition from traditional RAID architectures to highly integrated,
purpose built RAID Storage Processors," said Vikram Gupta of
JP Morgan Partners.
Commenting on the company's technology, Steve Foster of TPG Ventures
stated, "Aristos Logic has not only delivered a silicon solution
that provides industry leading cost/performance, but has also built
a powerful software kernel that enables customers to get to the
market in shortest possible time". Added Rick Shriner of Woodside
Fund, "Our continued commitment to Aristos Logic is further
evidence of the strong traction the company has generated with leading
storage OEM customers".
"This funding validates investor confidence in our vision
of making dedicated RAID Storage Processors the fundamental building
blocks of storage systems. Our RSP based products eliminate the
I/O bottleneck, deliver an unprecedented level of price/performance
while providing our customers a framework for integrating their
differentiating management infrastructure," said Anil Gupta,
CEO of Aristos Logic. "Even as our lead customers are preparing
to launch their initial products designed with our RSP, many are
already designing their next products around our second generation
RAID Storage Processor," added Gupta.
Headquartered in Foothill Ranch, California, Aristos Logic creates
special-purpose processors that bring new levels of performance,
efficiency, features and cost-effectiveness to enterprise storage
controllers for networked storage products. The company's dedicated
RAID Storage Processors offer unbeatable price-performance for entry-level
products and scalability for mid-range products. Aristos processors,
together with Aristos software, provide a base level of RAID functionality
that system vendors can use as a foundation for their own value-added
features. For further information, please visit our Web site at
